“My mother died recently. It was heartbreaking – but for her sake I’m glad she’s gone. She was 76, she had kidney failure and Parkinson’s disease. I took care of her for over 15 years… If you take care of someone, your life, your mind and your whole world is taken up by that person, and this is how it should be. Probably the only thing I’d change is to take a bit more time out for myself, to at least take a chance on trying to meet someone special. But now I have a bit more time, so I took a holiday by myself to Tenerife for 2 weeks, and I had great fun! My biggest problem wasn’t my wheelchair, but actually finding somewhere to eat when you have a nut allergy!”

– Carolyn has Ehlers–Danlos syndrome (EDS), which is a genetic connective tissue disorder. She still is one of the most positive and happy people I have ever met in my life. Please send her a lot of love and good wishes! She well deserves it! –
