“You know, I was born like this, so I really don’t even know what I’m missing. I’m not one of those people who used to walk and then suddenly their independence was taken. I had some hard times in my life when I was a teenager, but as I grow older I care less and less. This is how I was born and I will never know any different. The only thing that still hurts is when people stare at me, or, for example, when kids come over asking questions, and their parents give out to them. Why are they giving out? They’re only curious. This is how they learn about things…”
