“Working on bog land collecting turf, milking cows and picking potatoes were some of the jobs we did together along with our father. They weren’t easy jobs, and we would’ve preferred football or to mess around like children do, but these things made us real team players too. Our father was the leader of the farm and we were proud to be part of the team that kept it afloat. Farmers used to help each other around so much at that time and it was just so natural… And it’s something he taught us, to be able to make a difference in somebody else’s life. This is exactly why we’re getting ready for the New York marathon again, to make a difference for other people.”
