“I’m a barrister and I work a lot on probate when people pass away. The really interesting part of my job isn’t the treasure that people leave behind but rather the people they choose to leave it to. For example, I recently had a case where a Grandmother passed away and had an engagement ring. The family were more concerned about who she had left it to than the actual value of the ring. People often spend far more money on the legal process than the value of what they are fighting for. At the heart of many fights is the thought that one person was loved more than the other. It can be a very difficult time but also a great time to learn about yourself and the other people involved.”
