“I’m turning 40 soon. I don’t sweat the small stuff anymore, and the things that used to be very important for me are no longer important. You’re going to reach a certain age where all your friends settle down and get a mortgage and do all that stuff that society says is important. But you’re going to need the independence to say, you know, for me, right here, right now it’s not that important. It’s the same with food. If you talk to people with money and ask them what their favourite food is, they’ll tell you ‘Oh it’s lobster and crab with champagne,’ and it’s true. All those things are lovely, but if you’re hungry, if you’re really hungry… A ham and cheese sandwich could be the most delicious thing you have that week. It’s the same with life. You really have to learn how to appreciate the small things that life throws your way.”
