“We come here every year to get inspired. We are from Tipperary and we opened up access to our gardens to help some charities; it’s called the Tipperary Garden Trail. My daughter started the organisation about 20 years ago and it’s still going! The idea is that you can come to visit our gardens and spend your time however you like – reading, relaxing, meeting people.”
“You can even get a free tea if you like!”
“You just have to make a small donation at the end, which goes to charity. I do it for the Hospice and she is doing it for Multiple Sclerosis.”
“I have an acre of garden and she has about three-quarters of an acre, which we look after ourselves. We’ve even won some awards with them. Gardening is a great hobby, and it feeds the mind you know?”
“It sure beats housework!”
