“I am from Turkey, I came here to study English three months ago and I plan to stay for another three. Since I arrived here, my life has been constant queueing. Queuing for apartments, queueing for job interviews and so on. I mean, I knew it wouldn’t be easy finding a summer job, but I wasn’t expecting it to be this hard! Since I arrived I went from place to place, dropping in CVs and sending out even more online, hundreds all together. A week ago, I was called for an interview in a grocery store and there were at least 150 people outside the shop, all waiting in line for the same position. I feel very lucky that I got this job and I have a place to stay!”
