“I’m just waiting for the lads; there’s eight of us here from Men’s Shed. Have you heard of it? It’s a group for elderly people, where we work on all sorts of projects to help out in our communities. Today we visited the Storehouse, but almost every day we do something different. Some of the lads live alone, so it’s a great way to get them out and make them feel useful, or even just for a chat. I’ve made some great friends the last three years I’ve been involved. We’re all teachers and students, always finding something to share and learn.”
