We had already heard the Irish are a very friendly nation, but didn’t expect to experience it in the very first hour

“Yesterday, just after we arrived, we left the hotel to look for something to eat. It was already dark and raining outside, and in about twenty minutes we got completely lost, so I took out my map while walking. Three different people approached and asked if we needed any help, and each one of them were very friendly and helpful. The last guy, in particular, spent so much time helping us and giving us advice about where to go. I don’t think that would ever happen back in Canada, and it’s not that that people are unfriendly or anything, you just have to ask for help to receive it. Here, on the other hand, people seem more interested in each other socially, which is such a treasure these days. We had already heard the Irish are a very friendly nation, but didn’t expect to experience it in the very first hour! We’ve seen a lot of countries together, and the most memorable travels are always the ones where we experienced kindness. It really makes us fall in love with a country on another level.”
