“Our wives are sisters, and we’re best friends. We’re both doctors too! We moved to Ireland altogether in 2009. One of my favourite stories from being a doctor is about a girl who happened to be the daughter of a very high minister in Oman. Long story short, after visiting some of the best doctors in Oman and Dubai, they were advised to remove the girl’s kidney to save her life. The father didn’t stop researching until he heard about my practice, and they sent her to me here in Dublin. After I examined her, I did a very precise CT scan which showed me that the real problem behind her kidney problem was tuberculosis. We treated her and saved her kidney, and after that, she became a medical student. Now she’s a well-known doctor in Oman. How can you not love your job when you have stories like this to tell?”
