“What do I like most about my job? Let me show you something! So, me and my colleague received this message to the Active First Responders Facebook page:
‘A huge thank you to Des and Ger who, well, quite simply, saved my life on January 26th. I had a heart attack at work and would not be here, writing this post, if it were not for them. Their medical skills, their ability to remain calm and assured made my fear instantly dissipate, and I knew instantly I was in safe and accomplished hands. The selfless dedication of these paramedics display is both impressive and humbling- Des even managed to make me laugh!!! I can’t sufficiently ever thank you – but I know that I owe my life to both of you and I hope you know it too. God bless you all.’
…we also helped three babies into the world this week, one on the highway, one in the Ambulance and one in a private bathroom. I have some selfies with them too! Tell me, what’s not to like in a job like this?”
